Can I choose the color of my BevShot?
No. BevShot images are made by first crystallizing the drink of choice on a lab slide. Using a standard light microscope with a camera attached, the light source is polarized and passed through the crystal. This creates the magnificent colors we see in our favorite drinks featured on this site. Each color is a result of the ingredients contained in each beverage.
What’s the best way to measure my art space?
Visit our Pick Your Perfect Piece page for design tips on choosing the appropriate size art for your space. Measure out the size of your BevShot of choice on your wall. Then use tape that won’t peel off your paint to measure out a “frame” the size of your BevShot on your chosen space. Step a few feet away to ensure your “frame” fits the space appropriately according to design tips or your personal preference.
What will my BevShot be printed on?
BevShots are printed on two types of media, canvas or archival paper.
What is archival paper?
Archival paper is a high-end photo paper that is specifically formulated to last for decades. The process for making archival paper is complex, resulting in a more expensive and longer-lasting product than your typical poster print.
Archival paper is thoroughly treated to remove lignin, and then is made pH neutral, allowing for a print that will not turn yellow or brittle. It also holds ink and brilliant colors better than common paper products. The prints have a satin finish that is meant to be shown behind framed glass, or if you want to design your own framing, you can order just the print rolled up and sent by tube. BevShots are constructed for a lifetime of appreciation.
What is canvas?
Canvas prints, also known as Giclée prints, have a textured surface that looks more like a painting than a photograph. BevShots canvas prints have a glossy coating that helps protect the print and also makes the colors pop. The archival ink that is used ensures the colors last several decades. Canvas prints can be gallery-wrapped, featured in a floating frame, or sent without framing in a tube.
What’s a gallery-wrapped canvas?
Your BevShots canvas print is stretched and wrapped around a 1 ½” thick solid wood frame. The image wraps around the edge of the frame, creating a clean, modern piece of art that is ready to hang. Because the image wraps around the edge, you will lose 4 inches from both the width and height of your original canvas print.
What’s a floating-frame canvas?
A floating-frame canvas is a gallery-wrap that has been framed with a 2” tall black frame that leaves a gap between the canvas and the frame. This gap makes the art appear to be floating in the middle of the frame. This framing option is perfect if you like the look of a canvas print and want it to be framed out on your wall. The material of this high-end frame is solid wood.
How are archival prints matted and framed?
Archival prints are matted and framed using the highest quality framing materials. The matting is made of acid-free materials to prevent discoloration of the BevShot print. Matting comes in two options – white Frost and black Onyx.
The frost matboard has a slightly textured finish while the onyx matboard has a silky sheen. Frames come in a satin black finish, and we offer two style options. Both framing options feature hardwood construction and have contemporary styling with clean lines. The Element frame has a molding that is 1 3/4” wide and ¾” deep. The Luxe frame is an upgrade that gives the art piece a more dramatic presence because of its significantly thicker molding 2” width and 2 1/4”.
May I order a digital file of my BevShot?
A complimentary digital file will be sent to you by e-mail after every order. This file will be a 320X480 JPEG and can be used for phone wallpaper, TwitPic, Facebook or any other sharing device.
Can I order just the BevShot print without the framing?
Yes. BevShots can be sent in a poster tube if you wish to provide your own framing.
How much does it cost for a BevShot?
BevShots start at $24.99 for prints rolled in a tube and $199.99 for a ready-to-hang art piece. Pricing depends on type of media, size and framing options.
Do you offer any discount for the purchase of more than one piece?
Discounts are available for volume orders. If you are interested in placing volume orders in quantities of 50 or more contact lester@bevshots.com.
How long will it take to receive my artwork?
On average it will take 3 weeks to receive your artwork since every piece is made to your specification and proudly created in the United States with quality materials and craftsmanship.
Do you ship outside the U.S.?
Yes, we can ship outside the U.S. We are currently updating our website to take international orders. Until that update happens, you can send in your order request to service@bevshots.com. For payment, we currently accept VISA, MasterCard, and American Express. We recommend purchases of prints since they can be rolled in a tube and shipped at a significantly cheaper rate than fully framed art pieces. The shipping rate is a flat $49.99 US for international print orders.
